Obama flubbed his oath when he was being swore in as President, he reffered to himself as the 44th man to be sworn in as President (he is the 43rd) and he got lost in the White House heading to his office.

He may not be a god afterall.

I don't think anyone feels he is a god. I think a lot of people are happy to see him sworn in as the President of the United States. It could have been nerves. I think I would get lost to trying to get to my new office if it was the White House. I hope you are willing to give our new President a chance. Just to see what he can do. He could turn out to be a very good President and you may find that he is a wonderful person.

As I have stated everbody should be given a chance. We gave both Bush Presidents and Clinton and Regan and Carter and all the Presidents since the country was founded a chance. So why not President Obama? I might be wrong but how much worst can he do than all the President's before him? Maybe I don't know anything at all since I am not the brightest bulb on the bush. I am the least important person in this world and I have always thought my Iq was very low. All that not with standing I still say the new president deserves a chance.

Oh please. Spare me the "poor pitful" act.

I know it's Randolph County and we simply must fulfill all the stereotypes, but if you have an opinion, could you simply try defending it . . . without injecting all the self-esteem issues . . . and then making that my problem?

Dale's point is well taken. A whole lot of people are projecting impossible/incredible expectations upon BHO (the hype has been beyond nauseating). And they are bound to be disappointed (there was, in fact, much to be disappointed in during that inaugural ceremony . . . from excerpts of the speech to the appallingly racist benediction).

I don't think you're stupid. I think you're naive - in this case dangerously naive - and that you have a whole lot of company. At this point we don't have a choice but to give the mighty "O" a chance.

It also bemuses me how many people talk about giving poor BO a chance - when they never really gave George Bush one.

Actually, even though I was very young, I wasn't too keen on giving Jimmy Carter a chance either. It was a good call.

And from a personal standpoint - as a public servant screwed to the wall during his administration, Bill Clinton was a bit of a disappointment as well.

In fact, you could say I was "stupid" to trust my future to his DHHS . . . i.e. to give him a chance.

I don't believe anyone hopes that the President fails and we have no choice but to give him a chance. But if his first law passed is any indication of our future then we are in for a long hard time ahead.

Maybe it was unreleastic for someone to know within six months if their employer discriminated against them as far as pay is concerned but to extend the right to sue as this piece of legislation has is irresponsible. As long as someone recieves pay thier right to sue is extended for another six months. That means if a person retires or is injured on the hob as long as they recieve pay from that employer they can sue for discrimination.

Considering that pay entitle them to sue for something that happened twenty or more years in the past, a company may not be able to prove it was justified.

Only twelve percent of the proposed bailout package is actually disigned to stimulate the economy only shift's a heavy burden to future generations, jeoprdizes our present situation, and obligates us to continuous programs that would never other pass. Disgracefull.

If this massive bailout package passes where is that going to leave us if a real crisis arises that threathens the continuation of the country? (Think Dec 7, 1941)

It's been less than two weeks and things are looking bleaker already. You celebrate. I'll pray.

Make no mistake, Dale.

In terms of this unabashed liberal agenda disguised as a "stimulus package", I sincerly hope Barrack Hussein Obama fails.
