In my fictional book "Feet of Clay" War World III begins with China and escalates when Iran attacks Israel. Of course, we are still about 40 years away from the timeline in the book but it is just finction. But with all the unrest in the middle East and China raising its ugly head with Japan and South Korea, we may not have 40 years. We may not even have four.
Then again, everything may just calm down and go back to the insanity that is normal. No one knows when the world will end, not even the Myans, but it is a fact that this earth will cease to exist one day. It may be billions of years before time and nature do their dirty work but it will happen. Maybe there will be people living on other planets, or on a new earth one day. Maybe there won't.
