lawsuit i should have filed
I was just twenty-five. I was hired by the Valdese Printing Company in Valdese, NC. I worked there for about a week when I was called into the owners office. He asked me if it was true I wanted to finish getting my college degree and when i said yes he said " You are fired."

It's a right-to-work state and trying to better yourself was like having an ugly pimple on your nose.
That's all it takes in the great state of North Carolina.
