Football Fan--not

I have not seen a regular season football game in many years and have seen very few superbowl games.  It is not that I don't like football.  I suppose this started many years ago when I decided not to watch a football game until after the World Series was over.  Then I realized that a football is only involved in play around seven minutes in an entire game (and the same people who sit and watch a two or three hoour football game with 7 minutes od action say baseball is slow).  Basebahad drama on every pitch.

I find one of the biggest differences between baseball and football is that no matter what the score a baseball team can always win or lose up until the game is actually over.  In football the two teams kept playing even though it is impossible for the losing team to win.  Just quit and go home already.

I dislike all the penalties in football and especially dislike the idea of a touchdown being nullified or called back.  Ever heard of a home run being recalled?  The only penalty in baseball is a balk.  Balks are rare and I've never seen but one called on a catcher.

Thgeonly thinbg I would change about baseball is the rule that allows the batter to be called out on a foul ball.  If the batter doesn't have a chance to advance to first, he should not be called out.  It would be nice if baseball had cheerleaders too.  But I like the game and admire the skill it takes to be good at the game.  And I love the unppredictability of the game where even the worst team has an even chance to win.
