I worked for two of the companies listed as worst in customer response times via telephone: Rite Aid and Ruddick Corp. Rite Aid I can understand. I haven't worked for them in decades but way back when the telephone was a pay phone in the managers office so when the phone rang one had to unlock the office and climb the stairs to answer the phone.
The big surprise for me was Ruddick corporation listed as Ruddick, owner of Harris-Teeter prides itself on customer service and its standards are high for store employees to respond to customers. What is the biggest surprise is not only are they bad but they were dead last.
